Especially valuable are forest plantations that are built around the piles and slag dumps around the settlements, as they are the natural filter for contaminants and barrier against wind erosion.
In the urban system systematic cares are taken to preserve the forest and animal stock. Here are well-developed array of oak, field ash, maple, hornbeam, pine and others. Annually the plant fund is renewed with lime, maple, pine, sycamore, poplar, mulberry, fruit trees, shrubs and so on.

The municipality of Radnevo covers a geographical area with a continental climate, with a little influence of Mediterranean cyclones. In winter Stara Planina is a natural protection against the cold continental masses coming from the north and northeast. As a result, winter is much milder than in continental climatic sub-region of northern Bulgaria. The average annual temperature is 12,10 º C. The average annual relative humidity is 70%.
Rainfall amounts are not evenly distributed throughout the year. There is one major peak in May and June and a minor - in November and December. The minimum rainfall is in August and September and another is  in February and March. The cover of snow is relatively small and it does not last long. The mists to a large extent depend on the heat balance, the minimum air temperature, high humidity and total evaporation and the development of synoptic processes. The area is characterized by a normal number (28.0) days of fog per year.
The prevailing wind direction is north-northeast and the speed is in the range between 0.3 and 5.1 m / sec. Orographic features of the area influence the direction and speed of the wind.
High temperatures and insufficient rainfall in summer and autumn enhance the impact and duration of the typical summer - autumn droughts. Winters are mild and dry.
Despite the limited rainfall climatic conditions are favorable for the development of agriculture
